A New Concept: Twenty Blogs in a Portal: Interney.net/blogs/
Unlike the USA, where blogs have their place in the sun, bloggers are invited to see Clinton on 125th Street, what a view mahman! In Brazil bloggers are seen as people who have nothing better to do, can't write and spend idle time on the Net putting together silly stories about video games, hacking, naked women, as if all bloggers were twelve-years-old.
Maybe the scene will change now. A group of four bloggers from São Paulo, Edney Souza, Alexandre Inagaki, André "Marmota" de Oliveira and Ian Black created a portal of twenty blogs. Technically they cover all possible topics a person may be interested in knowing more about, from cooking to TV, cinema, Internet, Rio or São Paulo. Once in the portal, people simply cruise from blog to blog.
There is a domain which congregates blogs by groups or individual bloggers: insanus.org. In the case of Interney.net/blogs/URL , the navigation eases the visibility of each blog.
If this format makes money and makes blogging a legit occupation in Brazil I will be happy. The shit grows old, the comments, "Oh, it's nice when people have time to read and write blogs." Or, "Oh, I don't read blogs." I already have big plans for my Anarchic Universe portal. Swanksalot for news, weir or not; Freaky Deaky for humor and sex; AMERICABlog for politics with indignation and orchids on Fridays. Mudsville, the Ohian blog, to keep us updated on the Buckeye State. No Ariana. L'etoile c'est moi; rather, je suis l'universe!
